Bintan Island, Indonesia

After four days in Singapore, we took a Ferry Boat over to Bintan Island, Indonesia for more fun in Paradise.

We stayed at Club Medd, Bintan Island.
This was the kids' room.

They had a whole circus area where the kids' or grown-ups could try tight rope walking and the trapeze.

The boys enjoyed some sailing time.

And we got pretty good at archery!

We went to an elephant sanctuary that also happened to have a Burmese Python.  YES....I totally freaked out, but Ryan and Callista were thrilled!!!

The elephant ride definitely makes our top ten list of coolest things we have ever done.

It was an amazing vacation, and one that we feel so very blessed to have been able to take.

Sentosa Island - Singapore

Sentosa Island is a small resort Island in Singapore and it is where we stayed.  There are not enough words to describe how beautiful it was, so I won't even try.

And then to add to the fun, Paul got to see his dream car up close and personal....

Singapore - Gardens by the Bay

It was a rainy day....too gloomy for the beach although still VERY warm.  So we ventured out to the new "Gardens by the Bay" that opened up May of 2012.  It was beautiful!  It was composed of two glass structures (extremely large), that were basically greenhouses.  One was for flowers around the world, and the other was an entire building filled with a rainforest.  Because it was all glass, you still got the feeling you were outside with all the natural light pouring in from the windows, BUT.....we still had air conditioning!

It was an amazing thing to reflect upon the creation of this world and see all the beauty that it has to offer.  The lyrics "Whenever I hear the song of a bird......"  came back to me over and over while we were there!
