Arrow of Light

Ryan has worked super hard since last June when he earned his Webelo to accomplish the tasks needed to earn his Arrow of Light.  Our troop put on a wonderful ceremony honoring him and his buddy Jake who both earned their awards.
Kyrsten Crawford and Colby Greene read the story of how the Arrow of Light came to be and I was very enlightened.  The arrow was lit on fire and flew through the night sky to light the path needed. Their arrows are symbols for these boys to follow their own personal arrows of light to achieve their life long goals.
I got to present Ryan with his award....
...but more scary was him pinning on me my award!
 Ryan and Jake
This is Linda Eccles, an amazing woman who has devoted much of her life to the cub scout program and made these arrows for the boys.

 Don, Jean, and Jake Mangum.
Fellow friends, scouts, and church members.
I would be lying if I didn't mention how proud Paul and I are of Ryan...he's worked really hard to achieve this (and let's be honest...Paul worked really hard on this too)!

The American Girl Store

The Weiner Gals all came up for a weekend visit and we hit the AG Store.  It is just so magical in that store and brings you back to being a child and all the wonder it brings with it.

Here's Callista posing with the girls of the year Lea along with her own doll Saige.  It is so hard not to buy everything in that store...it's all so beautiful.
 Here's the whole clan.
Callista, Reagan, Chloe, London, and McKenna.
Michele and I wanted in on the magic as well....we were just as excited to be there.

It must have been tiring though because Callista practically took a nap on their dog Rolo once we got home.

We are so blessed with friends who are willing to make trips to see us.  We've known the Weiner's since South Carolina and are so excited to only be 3.5 hours away.

Valentine's Day

My favorite day of the year....the day I get to show those I love the VERY most just how much I do LOVE them.  For breakfast we had donuts and Paul showered me with roses.
Ryan got a much wanted book entitled "Wings of Fire"....
Callista received some very cute special edition Valentine's Shopkins....
And the ever graceful Chloe got a Collection of piano music by John Schmidt of the "Piano Guys"....
Based on her facial expression....I think she liked it.
I love my family truly and deeply, and I pray they know that!
