California Adventure

We spent the day on Thursday at Disneyland's California Adventure.
What an Adventure it was!
How lucky we were to catch Koda and Kenai as we walked through Brother Bear's Camp.  It also happens to be Callista's favorite Disney movie. She knew exactly who they were before we had to say anything!

Callista on the Zephyr Rockets!

Paul and Gwen in line for the Ferris Wheel.
The girls in the Ferris Wheel Car!

The boys in the Ferris Wheel Car!

SILLY FACES!
This is after Chloe and Paul got off of California Screamin'.  Gee...I wonder who had more fun!

Gotta love the glasses from Toy Story Mania!  Do they have eyes in the back of their heads?

AUTOPIA!!!
This is what you do after two long, fun filled, and exhausting days at Disney.....you lay in bed watching the Disney channel in your PJ's!
We went to Downtown Disney on Friday to walk around and let the kids each pick a souvenir to remember this years' vacation.  Callista picked a Winnie the Pooh doll. Ryan picked a Sully (from Monsters INC) doll, and Chloe picked a pair of Mickey earrings with a matching ring.
Thanks Papa and Nana for sharing our vacation with us.
It was awesome....next year.....

Disneyland 2011

This was our 4th annual trip to Disneyland with Papa and Nana.

It was a fantastic day.  Chloe counted that we went on 25 rides or attractions.  Her favorite ride was Space Mountain.  Ryan's favorite ride was Autopia, and Callista's favorite ride was Thunder Mountain.  The day was truly magical at the
"Happiest Place on Earth"!

Christian Carter Bitton

This precious baby boy was born last night to our friends Angela and Jared Bitton.  It is rare I catch a smile this genuine from Chloe, but there is no question...she does not even have to think "cheese" for me to capture this little girls' joy.
She volunteered on the way home from the hospital that she will be the one to share her room, even if it is a boy, should we have a baby in our family.  After much convincing, coercing, and persuasion, I still couldn't get them to name him Blake though.  I guess it leaves me no choice.....Chloe might just get her wish so I can have a Blake.  After holding this perfect spirit, I am no longer thirsty, or even hungry, I am just flat out Baby Starving!

Happy New Year

Once again...we were planning on going up to Mt. Laguna to play in the snow with the Evans.  However, there was NO snow at Mt. Laguna and so alternative plans needed to be made.  The kids in both familes came up with bowling before we ever even consulted each other, and it was a blast!

Paul, Spencer, and Elliot just chillin'.

After many days of sadness, I am so HAPPY to share some smiles with my friend Melanie!

I'll share some smiles with Callista too.
Just the boys.

Chloe, Truman, Ryan, Elliot, Callista, and Nolan
Bowlers Extraordinaire!

Spencer: "Nolan...who's that?"
Nolan : "SHUPE"
Paul is "Dr. Paul"; Chloe is "Cho-e"; Ryan is "I-an";
Callista is "Issa", and
I AM SHUPE!
Common Nolan-isms are: "Shupe miss me"; or "Shupe love me"; or my personal favorite....
"Thank You, Shupe".
I love this guy!!!!!
This was the game of a lifetime for me.  Look at that...a spare followed by three strikes.  I made a good, quick impression on Spencer and Melanie that I was actually good at this.  I kept telling them it was just a phase and my true colors would shine through very soon......
AND THEY DID!!!
My score in the second game was exactly half of what it was in the first.  Come on.....even the 2 year old beat me!
Thanks for spending New Year's with us Spencer, Melanie, Truman, Elliot, and Nolan!
