Dance Recital 2010

Dancing with a friend is always more fun than dancing solo.
Chloe and Julia in their "I Love You I Do" costumes.

Chloe in her "Itty Bitty Pretty One" costume.

It has become tradition that Ryan always presents Chloe with Roses after the show.

Chloe, Miss Mary Allison (her teacher), and Julia

Chloe was asking which of us was wearing more make-up....I don't even own red lipstick anymore, thank goodness her teacher brought some.

Proud Dad who definitely did not approve of the make-up!

 Proud grandparents.

What a great show Chloe...we look forward to next year's now!

I just had to sneak this one in of Ryan getting some extra cuddles from Nana before the show.

Pre-School Graduation

I can't believe my "Ry-Guy" is ready for Kindergarten.

The graduation processional

 Just looking cool!

The gust speaker at the ceremony...and YES..that was me!  What in the world do you say to a group
of Five year olds?  I taught them the phrase "Don't sweat the small stuff", and I talked about making lemonade out of sour lemons.  Ryan was hilarious when he told me that morning...
"Oh Yeah...Mom...did you know you are speaking today?"
I told him "Yes...I know".
"O.K.  Mom, but PLEASE.....do not cry!"

The Coolest Cake I have ever seen.  It has everyone's picture on it!

There's Ryan and Elsa....on the cake!

Ryan thought it was "the coolest thing ever" that he was eating himself on his piece of cake!

Best Wishes in Kindergarten.....We Love You!!!!

Mommy and Me!

This year Callista and I participated in a "Mommy and Me" class that consisted of a few of her friends that were her age.  Some of the themes we did were rainbows, hearts, shamrocks,
wheels on the bus, the beach, frogs
AND......
BEARS...as in the "Bear Went Over The Mountain!"

Our last little class we held at the park for a summer kick-off.
Good-bye Giovanna and Evan...we'll see you in the Fall for Joy School!!!!

Field Trip to the Zoo!

One of my favorite parts of being a Mom is going on my children's field trips.  I wish I could go on each one, every time, but unfortunately I can not.  However....the ones I do get to go on...are always worth remembering!

Chloe and I on the school bus.  My school bus was never like this one.  This one had air conditioning, a stereo, and seatbelts.  Totally posh!!!!

I was in charge of Chloe and her friend Nadia.  They wanted to stick their heads in every single sign, but here is just a sampling.

Chloe and Nadia petting a goat.

Which one is the "real" gorilla?  Maybe she really did evolve from an ape!

My favorite part was just being together....her and I...without any other distractions.
Thanks for a fun day Chloe!

NMCSD Ortho Graduation 2010

The Ortho Residency Class of 2010 had their Graduation Dinner and Ceremony at the Museum of San Diego History.  It was a charming venue, but the company was the best part.

I always enjoy a night out with my husband....especially when we get to dress up.

This is Dr. Feagan.  He was the guest speaker that evening as well as the visiting professor for Resident Research Day.  Paul enjoyed his insight and company over those few days he was there.

Erika and I were probably the only sober women there that night.  We couldn't even get a plain water....it had to be a "Perrier".

This is supposed to be "The Wives of 2011" with Me, Amy Bremnar, and Kelly Hammell....but...Kristy Frazierj ust couldnt' stand not being in the picture and had to jump in at the last second.
It was as good as it was going to get!

One more year to go baby.... and then it is our turn!

Friendship Brunch

Today was a friendship brunch at Chloe's school.  I wasn't quite sure what we were going for or what is was about until it started.  Chloe has 2 special ed children integrated into her classroom just for a few minutes each day.  But these friends also go to recess, P.E., and share lunch with Chloe's class as well.  This was a special brunch to thank the students and teachers for helping these children feel part of the class and for being friends.  It was truly touching and yes.....I did cry!  (Although it doesn't take much.....I am such a cry baby).  Having these "friends" in Chloe's class this year has really made an impact on her.  If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up...at least for the time being....she will tell you a "special ed" teacher.

Chloe singing "The World is a Rainbow"

Chloe and one of her "friends" Melissa.  Chloe taught her how to clap this year and one of Melissa's great joys is playing clapping games with Chloe.

Chloe and her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Asfazadour.

Chloe and her Cry Baby Mother!

Just being plain old CUTE!!!!!!!

Identity Crisis

Most days I think I know you pretty well.  I know what you like to eat, your favorite movies, and your favorite desserts.  But somedays, I just think....
"Who are you, and what have you done with my husband?"
